Marist College Canberra, Rowing Club

The second regatta for the season - Radford Regatta - Saturday, 11 November 2017

Marist Rowing Club

The Marist College Canberra Rowing Club (MCCRC)  was established in 2010 to assist the College in the administration and coaching aspects of rowing at the College. The broad aim of MCCRC is to develop the sport of rowing within the College and to improve the overall standing of rowing within and outside the College.

MCCRC's mission is to provide an effective support infrastructure for the Marist College rowing program such that students can participate in all aspects of rowing while developing their skills and interest for rowing in a safe enjoyable and competitive environment. The club's vision is to be a leading school rowing program in the ACT in competition, development and governance.

About the Program

The rowing program is available to all Marist College Canberra students in years 6 to 12 and caters to any level of rower from our learn to row beginners, through to our competitive elite seniors. Boys row in their own age (year) groups and compete in the same groups.

MCCRC membership is for 12 months and includes training, equipment, coaching and Regatta fees. Each year our season begins in September with the competitive Regattas held over the summer months. Regattas that MCCRC compete in are usually held in Canberra on Lake Burley Griffin, but we do also compete at a number of Regattas at the Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith.
